ParkingFree parking is available in our surface lots located on the north side of our campus. You can get to the hospital through Physician Tower I on weekdays or follow the sidewalk between the Tower and the parking garage. The parking garage provides covered parking with a one dollar fee as you exit. We offer valet parking Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM at Physician Tower I for $1.00. Check with the security officer at the desk in the Tower. Evening class participants may park in the Day Surgery lot across from entrance 2. Handicapped parking spaces for visitors and patients are available along the front row of the east surface visitor lot and near the elevator lobbies on each level of the parking garage (2nd or 3rd level, preferably). Handicapped parking is also available for Day Surgery patients in the lot across from entrance 2. Anyone requiring special parking consideration may call the Security Desk at 225-924-8473. Shuttle service for visitors and patients
Woman’s Hospital has a shuttle service for visitors and patients that runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday. The shuttle route runs from the East surface visitor lot (the one closest to Airline Highway) to the canopies of Physician Tower I and Entrance 4 (main lobby of the hospital). Look for the white Dodge Sprinter van with the Woman's Hospital Parking Shuttle Service sign on the side panel. Contact Security in the lobby of either building or call 924-8473 for further details on shuttle availability.
If you are in labor
Once you arrive at the hospital, drive under the canopy of entrance 4 and pull to the right. Please do not block the left lane, which is for ambulances. The driver should go to the security desk in the main lobby and let them know you are in labor. A volunteer, admissions representative or security officer will then provide a wheelchair for your safety and comfort. While mom is checking in at the Admissions Department, the driver should park the car in the lot in front of entrance 4. If you are having surgery
Prior to your surgery you will be scheduled for an appointment in our Preadmissions Center. The staff will tell you where to park on the day of surgery and where you should check in. After hours arrival
After hours (10 PM – 6 AM) entry to the hospital is available through entrance 4, the main admissions entrance, and Entrance 7, the first floor doorway near the parking garage. Entrance 2, the Day Surgery entrance, opens at 5 AM. All other doorways, including the second floor bridge from the parking garage, will be closed during these hours.
